According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, support of transfer of experiences was evaluated in the joint meeting of the secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter and head of Iran national science administration in line with the support of research activities in stem cells area.

A meeting was held to exchange opinions and experiences regarding the development of research and support of researchers in the presence of Ali Varani, technology development deputy, and Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter, and Nosratollah Zargham, president of Iranian national science foundation, at the location of Iran national science foundation.

At first, Hamidieh provided a short summary of achievements of stem cells science and technology development headquarter, stating: during 2014-2017, the number of active centers in this area has increased from four to 44 centers. In addition, the number of knowledge-based companies has increased from one to 56 companies.

He continued: furthermore, 30 specialized workgroups have been established in stem cells science and technology development headquarter with more than a thousand members as the subunit of ministry of science, research and technology and ministry of health.

He also expressed: currently, Iran has ranked first among the Islamic countries, and enhanced its status in the Middle East better than Israel.

Hamidieh also pointed out: results of a part of our efforts were observed in holding the first and second national festival and international congress of stem cells and regenerative medicine in 2016 and 2017.

Head of national science foundation welcomed the idea of use of experiences of the headquarter regarding the cooperation of more than one thousand faculty members and specialized workgroups, marking: our foundation is ready to support research activities in the area of stem cells and regenerative medicine in association with stem cells science and technology development headquarter.
