Shiraz Comprehensive Center for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine was reopened with Dehghani's presence
The final phase of Shiraz Comprehensive Center for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine was opened with the presence of the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.
Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, who traveled to Fars yesterday on his second provincial trip, opened the final phase of Shiraz Comprehensive Center for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine.
The final phase of this center, which was launched with the support of the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, included the establishment of clean rooms, which was opened with the presence of the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy. The rooms have a suitable space for the simultaneous activity of 4 knowledge-based companies.
Previously, 10 comprehensive stem cell and regenerative medicine centers were established in the country, some of them include the comprehensive center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Royan, Iran University of Medical Sciences, and Tabriz, which has reached the final phase and is being operated with all facilities. Shiraz University of Medical Sciences also housed the 11th comprehensive center.
The training of skilled manpower in the field of cell therapy and tissue engineering, the development of related research, the production of technological products and the development and establishment of knowledge-based companies in this field are among the goals of setting up a clean room. The construction of this complex with an area of 230 square meters, under a contract signed by in 2016, an agreement was signed between the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences with the aim of working in the field of cell therapy and tissue engineering.
