According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Saeed Seyf, secretary of marine knowledge-based industries and technology development headquarter, stated on the opening ceremony of the third festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” that the main goal of this event is making connections between the chain of science to practice, expressing: the sea festival is not only related to the marine knowledge-based industries and technology development headquarter, but it is formed of all representatives, and marine knowledge-based companies and organizations and has been held in three consecutive rounds with the approach of interactions between marine activists.

Seyf pointed out the presence of high school students in this marine event, affirming: from the beginning, this event was initiated to teach the necessary principles to students and prepare them for establishing marine knowledge-based companies and entering in the industry.

Secretary of marine knowledge-based industries and technology development headquarter emphasized the connection between marine activists and operationalization of development and progress in the marine industry, conveying: marine festival is regarded as a good opportunity for uniting various active islands in the marine section.

In another part of the opening ceremony, Hashemi Takhti, head of committee on port and marine industries of the parliament, mentioned the importance of idea exchange in the marine field, asserting: sea is a divine blessing, and the need of the Islamic society is discussion over this issue.

Moreover, he marked: according to the predictions, the world will be in water battle by 25 years later, and we might experience this in Iran sooner than expected. Therefore, we need more thinking and interactions in this area.

The third national festival of “Sea, the Path of Progress” is being held at the Holy Defense Museum until December 2^nd 2017 with the support of marine knowledge-based industries and technology development headquarter and cooperation of knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter.
