The biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to manage research and innovation in this field to improve the management of resources, increase productivity, and prevent parallel working.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to implement the project of national division of labor of biotechnology to prevent parallel working in research affairs, which will lead to improved resource management and increase productivity of research projects.

The national project of division of labor is carried out to coordinate and increase productivity of biological capacities of the country and to determine research priorities. The biotechnology development headquarter has responsibilities toward current documents, support, guidance, and coordination among active and relevant institutes and centers with biotechnology. This headquarter has aimed to focus on intellectual capacities in order to provide an atlas on the scientific and technological capacities of biotechnology in the country. By doing so, it can manage the focal points in each scientific unit will provide a dedicated, targeted focus on a dedicated, focused field with a view to deepening knowledge management and the realization of the country"s need.

In addition, the headquarter will collect successful studies and experiences in Iran and the world with the use of biotechnology, applying these experiences to implement their desired projects for development of biotechnology.
