The Iran national space administration will supply and localize the requirements of the macro plan of Saba 248 and Sorena helicopters with the help of active knowledge-based companies in the aviation field of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the Iran national space administration held a meeting in the presence of the deputy of Panha design and manager of the national Saba 248 helicopter project and managers of more than 30 active knowledge-based countries in the aviation field, so that the domestic requirements for supplying the pieces to manufacture two helicopters of “Sorena” and “Saba 248” and receiving helps from the relevant knowledge-based companies.

In this meeting, first a report of the activities of Iran national space administration on development of business and market of companies was presented and it was affirmed that improvement of abilities of companies in the aviation area has led to the formation of four innovation centers with topics of “helicopters”, “maintenance and repair”, “public aviation” and “piece supply chain”.

Following that, comprehensive technical explanations about required pieces and systems for localization of Saba 248 and Sorena helicopters were provided in the meeting, which was held by the efforts of the research section of Iran national space administration. Given the manufacturing of both helicopters in the country, there is a need for cooperation between knowledge-based companies to provide pieces for reconstruction of the helicopters. Mainly, these requirements are in fields of “products”, “processes”, “algorithm and software”, “testing and simulation infrastructure”, “preparation and compilation of documents and booklets” and “education”.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of active knowledge-based companies in the aviation field expressed their opinions and suggestions and managers of the national helicopter project and authorities of Iran national space administration answered the questions raised by the companies. In addition, it was expressed that in this path, specialized meetings will also be held with activists of each branch of supply of helicopter pieces.
