Remaining of creative human resources in Kermanshah depends on the development of local business models.

 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the capacities and large human resources of the country, regarding the development of business environment of Kermanshah to be depending on maintaining creative and young human resources in the province. In this regard, he stated: in order to create progress and development in the province, we need an innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem, where the abilities and creativities of young human resources can be turned into creative and knowledge-based businesses.

Promotion of Entrepreneurship Culture Lays the Foundation for Maintaining Domestic Creative Human Resources

The vice president for science and technology development headquarter considered the culture of reliance on oil revenues a cultural and structural disaster in the economy of the country.

The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the formation of new mechanisms to support knowledge-based companies, expressing: knowledge-based companies and startups require a special support mechanism. In this respect, providing direct loans in the first step of activities of these businesses is not a good approach. In fact, a business environment must be developed to allow the activities of these enterprises.

Necessity of Increasing the Costs of Closing Knowledge-based and Startup Businesses

Sattari asserted that the costs of creating barriers to closing knowledge-based companies must increase, affirming: one of the most disastrous betrayals is shutting down the businesses of people and laying obstacles in their path.

Pointing out the necessity of general comprehension of necessity of these businesses, Sattari pointed out: by correcting the culture of the society, our community members can realize that elimination of each of these businesses will lead to the closing of a number of jobs and paving the way for import of foreign counterparts.

Sattari regarded the establishment of three thousand and 700 knowledge-based companies and thousands of entrepreneurial startups in the economic flourishing of the country as the result of creating a proper business ecosystem.

Sattari also mentioned: in the area of nanotechnology alone we were able to create one thousand and 200 billion IRT worth of revenues. Today, we are ranked fourth in the world in terms of articles in the nanotechnology field.

In another part of his speech, Sattari pointed out the emigration of elites, stating: we cannot prevent this by paying money to elites. Their main goal is to be useful.

He added: we will obtain the necessary guidelines even from those elites that do not intend to return to the country.

Iran Is Not among the Top Countries that Send Emigrants

Sattari claimed that while the total emigration rate of Iran is not above the global mean, he stated: in the beginning of the Islamic revolution, we had 170 thousand students in the country and about 100 thousand Iranian students studying abroad, 56 thousand of whom were in the United States, which means that more than 30% of students of the country were studying abroad.

He added: meanwhile, today, we have 4.5 million students in the country, one percent of whom are studying abroad. A look at global statistics on emigration of students of other countries shows that Iran is not among the top countries that send students abroad.

The head of the national elites foundation pointed out the recruitment of non-resident Iranian students, declaring: the recruitment policies of non-resident Iranian students have been initiated since two years ago. Fortunately, more than one thousand and 100 elites have been returned to the country, 80% of whom have been graduated from the top universities of the world.

The Boom of Domestic Startup and Knowledge-based Businesses with the Return of Elites to the Country

Sattari talked about the activities of elites in startup businesses, expressing: a considerable number of these individuals are active in their own startups and have been able to create added value, allocating a significant percentage of occupations to themselves.

Sattari expressed that presence of the capital of Iran along the 50 top technological and innovative cities of the world shows the high potential of the country to be turned into the capital of technology and innovation. In this regard, he emphasized: Tehran has an extraordinary capacity to be among the top 10 cities in the area of innovation and technology and be flourished into an innovative capital the best way possible.

The vice president for science and technology affairs explained about the necessity of turning Tehran into a scientific park, asserting: to boom knowledge-based businesses and startups, the whole city must be turned into an ecosystem of innovation and technology.

He pointed out that creation of knowledge and creativity in universities, expressing: formation of a technological city is initiated at the heart of universities. By being established around universities, knowledge-based companies and startups will turn the ideas and creativity of the youth into businesses. Presence of more than 450 knowledge-based companies and startups around Sharif University of Industry shows the startup of this process. Soon, all universities of the country will be regarded the same way.

This meeting was attended by Bazvand, governor, Moradi, head of the University of Medical Sciences, Alami, head of University of Razi, Jasemi, member of parliament (representative of people of Kermanshah), Karami, secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture building development headquarter, Saledi, deputy of innovation and technology commercialization, and Ghaderifar, head of the strategic technologies center.
