According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the second meeting of the strategic council for the “Royazi” event is initiated along with the initiation of registration for the event.

Parviz Karami, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: the attendees of the meeting are the main bases of animation industry of Iran. The measure taken by the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter in this area has been discussing and dedicating efforts to this event in the area of knowledge-based economy.

He continued: along with the commercialization of technologies in various science and technology fields through the support law for knowledge-based companies, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has performed its duties in this area. However, there was no opportunity for the support of the majority of companies and institutes active in the area of innovative and creative industries, especially the animation industry.

Advisor to the vice president for science and technology continued: therefore, the Vice-Presidency took another path to cover these industries and provide a share of the economy of knowledge-based economy for them. To this end, the creative industry ecosystem working group of the Vice-Presidency was performed, executive secretary of which is the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter that covers creative industries in various fields.

He regarded the efforts of this working group as the better emergence of creative industries in the country, adding: extensive efforts will be dedicated to benefit from these industries in the formation of national GDP.

Karami stated: today, one of the leading industries of the developed countries, that has the potential to produce proper added value and revenue, has been considered by the Vice-Presidency. The soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter has supported the moving of toward animation industry. 

A New Path in the Animation Industry of Iran with Royazi

Amir Aghaei, secretary of the working group of digital contents and media of the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter, stated on the second meeting of the strategic council of “Royazi” event, expressing: in the previous meeting, we aimed to determine and clarify the subject that is the idea for creating a place for animation supply and demand in the country. In this meeting, we will take executive steps and hope to make it the initiation day for a new movement in the animation industry.

He continued: Royazi will be held with the goal of laying the justified and equal groundwork for idea owners and producers. On the other hand, it is aimed to gather idea demanders in a place to showcase various ideas.

What Is Pitching?

Aghaei affirmed: animation pitching has no history in Iran, whereas there is a long background to it at the global level. The most important step to take in this path is designing a program for pitching of animation in Iran.

According to the secretary of the working group of digital contents and media of the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter, pitching is presenting the idea. Animation pitching is an accurate method for presenting the plan of an animation product, that is presented orally and sometimes with pictures in the hope of supplying the financial issues of the project. Pitch can be carried out during various production stages, including synapse writing, character design, and story rails to attract investors.

Goals of Royazi

Aghaei mentioned that the registration for the event is initiated from today, marking: Royazi will be held this March. However, the workshop and seminars of the event will be held in December and October 2018.

Sponsorship Packages

Secretary of the working group of digital content and media mentioned that other countries have regarded no sponsorship packages in holding the animation pitching event, expressing: the quality of activists of this area in Iran is that high to meet actual needs and expectations. Therefore, we need to add some areas to this event that could lead to the improvement of beneficiaries of the field.

According to Aghaei, the sponsorship packages have the titles of education of negotiation principles, pitching method, legal services and spiritual property registration. In this regard, he added: in addition, pre-marketing topics, mentorship in technical areas, business clinic, evaluation of creative companies, work environment services, guaranteeing the performing of work and special facilities will be presented to the audience.

In addition, the strategic council members talked about the program of development of an ecosystem for creative companies, facilities, pre-marketing, intellectual property and other areas.

In the end of the ceremony, two top entrepreneurs in the area of animation of Iran, Fara 3D animations studio (Mohammad Hussein Sadeghi from Kerman) and Hoor Animation Institute (Reza Taghadosi) were appreciated and awarded.
