One of the priorities of the monitoring and evaluation group of the biotechnology development headquarter is evaluation and recognition of the evolution of biotechnology in the world.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, complete identification of directions and evolution of science and technology in the world and determining our own position on the international level is inevitable in the path of development of biotechnology and requires constant evaluations. These assessments help us monitor the biotechnology condition in various eras and evaluate the effects of policies and plans.

The monitoring and evaluation group of the biotechnology development headquarter has been established with the aims of “evaluation and determining the level of realization of goals of the biotechnology document in the executive organizations, universities, growth centers and knowledge-based companies and their ranking”, “monitoring and evaluation of cost of validations by executive organizations, universities, research centers, parks, growth centers and knowledge-based companies in the area of biotechnology” and “assessment of progress in the annual executive programs of the groups of the biotechnology development headquarter”.

Other priorities of this group include the compilation and regulation of evaluation and monitoring instructions and forms, conducting scientific studies in the area of monitoring and evaluation, regulation of annual agreements of the headquarter and following up the allocation of their credits and performing monitoring visits to executive organizations, universities, research centers and parks.
