According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin, secretary of the exhibition and deputy of science and technology department, mentioned the series of meetings held on standardization of knowledge-based companies by the Vice-Presidency in the special meeting of executive regulations for issuing the certificate of conformity, product and standard symbol of knowledge: these special meeting are held with the follow ups of the Vice-Presidency. After the evaluations, it is determined that the problem of many knowledge-based companies is not obtaining the national standard sign since it is not only related to the properties and functionality of a product and involves specific regulations.

He continued: the topic of conformity and product licenses and sign of knowledge are the fundamental solutions for solving the problems of knowledge-based companies. However, an opportunity is provided by the Vice-Presidency with the cooperation of the national standard organization to provide the facilities approved by the supreme council of the standard to use the valid international standards to receive a valid license that confirms the authenticity of their product.

 Secretary of the exhibition and deputy of science and technology department expressed two main goals for signing this contract, expressing: after the necessary follow ups and holding special meetings to solve the current problems of knowledge-based companies, the first and most important objective was solving the problems of knowledge-based companies. After that, it is aimed to provide a suitable condition for issuance of licenses in a way that the process adheres to the current laws and processes included in the national standard organization.

Sheikh Zeinoddin also marked that the national standard sign is given to the products that have been massively produced or have at least laboratory samples. In this regard, he added: there is a high risk in producing knowledge-based products. Therefore, it seems that knowledge-based companies want to receive this license before producing their product so that they could attract investors before achieving the national standard sign.

In terms of obtaining the license for knowledge-based products, Sanjabi explained: if a knowledge-based product adheres to a national or international standard, the conformity license will be issued. However, lack of adhering to any of the standards leads to providing the necessary test for evaluation of the performance and features of the product based on fundamental principles of standardization of products. After that, quality license will be issued for products. However, if a knowledge-based product is turned into a national standard, there will be the opportunity to receive the knowledge sign license.

According to this report, Darvish, general director of the office for evaluation of product and service quality of the national standard organization, presented a report on the license issuance and receiving the license of conformity, product and knowledge, special for knowledge-based products.
