According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Dr. Soorena Sattari- presidency vice president for science and technology affairs of our country and Mr. Wan Gang- minister of science and technology of China met each other on the second day of presence of the dignified scientific and technological delegation of our country in China and talked with each other about different scientific and technological topics and bilateral cooperation in this field.

This meeting held following the memorandum of establishing joint technology park between the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs and ministry of science and technology of People’s Republic of China signed during the Chinese president’s trip to Iran in January 2016.

In addition to consulting on how to cooperate on science and technology, both parties emphasized on expanding exchanging experiences in this field.

Regarding China’s experiences in establishing joint technology parks with other countries and according to achieved success at the Pardis Technology Park of vice presidency for science affairs, issue of establishing an advanced technologies park with participation of the Chinese party was broached during this country’s president’s trip to Iran in January 2016 and it was signed and afterward, multiple consultations with ministry of science of China, led to setting a cooperation memorandum to establish a scientific park in the development phase of Pardis Technology park. This memorandum signed during the previous trip before Dr. Hassan Rouhani- president of Islamic Republic of Iran and Xi Jinping- president of People’s Republic of China by Mr. Wang Yi- minister of foreign affairs of China on the behalf of ministry of science and technology of China and Dr. Soorena Sattari- presidency vice president for science and technology affairs of Islamic Republic of Iran.

Encouraging Chinese companies to establish R&D units and also transferring technology at the aforementioned park are the advantages of this cooperation.

The dignified scientific and technological delegation of Islamic Republic of Iran visited the technology park of Z-park in Beijing today morning and they are going to travel to the industrial city of Suzhou to visit Nano exhibition, researching institutes and technology parks.

Readiness for More Active Presence of Chinese Knowledge-Based Companies in the Form of Joint Cooperation

The presidency vice president for science and technology affairs also visited the international technology center of “Z-park” and was informed about the manner of its activities today, Tuesday in the following of his visits of scientific centers of Beijing.

In this visit, Sattari said in talking with officials of this center that Iran has focused on the knowledge-based economy specially and is ready in the vein of carrying out this policy to develop its cooperation with scientific centers of China more than before.

He reminded that there are 38 science and technology parks in Iran and the biggest start-up in the fields of bio technology and ICT in Middle East belongs to Iran.

The presidency vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized that this new culture is pursued in a new from in the hope and counsel government of Mr. Hassan Rouhani in order to get carried out.

He also informed about preparation of facilities and special conditions for scientific and technological and knowledge-based companies such as tax exemptions and loan in Iran and told the Chinese party that Iran is ready for Chinese companies’ more active presence in the form of joint cooperation.

Zheng Xiao Dong president of the international center of technology complex of “Z-Park” of China showed gladness of presence of Iranian delegation in China and informed about readiness of the complex under his coverage to expand cooperation with the presidency scientific and technology center.
