Preparedness of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs for Support of Development of Entrepreneurial Centers
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Alireza Daliri stated on the opening ceremony of entrepreneurial development center of Maskan Bank that this center has created fundamental changes in the area of construction and housing, expressing: in this area, we are faced with many weaknesses in the area of new technologies. Today, we can hope for improvement of this area by inauguration of this center.
He added: the new technology area is regarded as a high-risk field, and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs provides 110 services for startups and idea-making centers to cover this risk.
Deputy of management development and investment attraction pointed out that Iran has a favorable rank in terms of production of science and engineering products in the world with ranks of 15 and 2, respectively. However, the main weakness of this area is the path of producing a product from science.
Daliri also asserted: the entrepreneurship development center of Maskan bank can end this challenge, which is lack of interactions between universities and industries.
According to Daliri, universities must involve students with startups so that they can enter the business market.
Pointing out some challenges in establishment of innovation centers of universities, Daliri conveyed: a student who would get allowance from his father is now in a situation where his company has an annual income of 40 billion IRR.
Deputy of management development and investment attraction emphasized that students will be successful if they enter the market of new technologies. In this regard, he added: we have concluded contracts with nine banks to invest in new technologies.
Pointing out the lack of support of new taxi agencies (e.g., SNAP, TAP30) by Taxi Organization of Iran, Daliri stated: in the past week, one of the banks invested in one of these applications with 800 billion IRR. However, the “high-tech” area is a risky area; therefore, some solutions have been considered, such as 110 services to reduce the risk of activities in this area.
