According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, appreciated the work of Masoud Karbasian, minister of economy and properties, and Valiollah Seif, head of the central bank and the banking system, in a letter for paying 35 thousand billion worth of facilities and a mean of four thousand billion IRR to knowledge-based companies each month in 2017.
In this letter we read: “as you know, one of the main activities of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs along with the support of boarder-line research and commercialization of technologies and culture building for knowledge-based economy is implementing the rules of establishment and support of knowledge-based companies. Meanwhile, the actions performed by relevant organizations have helped the extensive measures taken by the Vice-Presidency to move toward a macro economy environment and create the necessary infrastructures to develop knowledge-based economy. In this respect, help of effective players of the field, such as banks and other financial institutes, plays a significant role in moving toward knowledge-based business.
Providing facilities to knowledge-based companies by banks, which are confirmed by the Vice-Presidency, increased from 1533,1 to 3709,7 IRR in December, which is predicted to reach four thousand billion IRR each month, making the total facilities into more than 35 billion IRR over a year, which is a record in this area. Meanwhile, proper activities have been performed to involve venture capitals.
