Pardis Technology Park Is the Host of the First International Nanotechnology Olympiad

 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iran will be the host of the first round of global nanotechnology development headquarter on April 10th 2018. In total, eight countries from Asia and Europe have announced their preparedness to compete in the Olympiad. This event will be held in Pardis Technology Park for six days. In addition, representatives from Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea, Iran, England, Italy, and Germany participate in this Olympiad.

Scientific Olympiads are among the interesting international competitions that challenge the youth of countries in intense competitions. On April 10th 2018, Iran will be the host of the first global Olympiad of nanotechnology, for which eight countries from Asia and Europe have announced their preparedness. Over a week, representatives from Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea, Iran, England, Italy, and Germany, as well as three teams from the European Union will compete in the Olympiad.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the permanent secretariat of nanotechnology Olympiad, taking the responsibility of hosting the first round of nanotechnology Olympiad and supervision of future Olympiads in this field. On the other hand, the European Union cooperates with the holding of event and representatives from this continent have been introduced to participate in these competitions. These representatives are mainly from England, Italy and Germany.

The first round of the global nanotechnology Olympiad is the result of three years of international interactions and in-person and remote meetings among various countries to define the mechanism of these competitions.

In these competitions, which are held in two stages, teams introduced by valid institutes to the committee of Olympiad will compete with each other. In the end, the team with highest score will receive the cash prize of 3000 Euros. However, the best team will be selected by the judging committee.

Pardis Technology Park will be the host of the event to start the first international scientific marathon among elites of nanotechnology at the level of students. Participants have entered the event from related fields to solve global challenges through the use of nanotechnology and innovation and commercialization skills.
