Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: it is anticipated that 50 raw pharmaceutical materials will be produced in the country by our researchers.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, expressed about the production of new pharmaceutical materials: eight human vaccines, 17 poultry vaccines, 50 raw pharmaceutical materials and 14 biological drugs will be produced until 2020.

He added: by producing this number of drugs, $375 million will be saved in the country and jobs will be created for 830 individuals.

Mentioning the activity of biotechnology accelerators in the country, Ghanei asserted: over the past two years, 12 accelerators have been active in the field of biotechnology, including PersisGene, Zist Bonian and Vision Daroo.

He also asserted: these accelerators have been established with the support of the biotechnology development headquarter and management of the private sector.

The secretary of biotechnology development headquarter continued: we are prepared to establish different accelerators in the field of agriculture and animal biotechnology.
