The marine knowledge-based industries and technologies development headquarter will hold the startup event in the area of maritime applications in order to attract assets for startups and new companies with the goal of developing the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Esmail Ghaderifar, head of the strategic technologies development headquarter, emphasized the development of ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country, stating: one of the gaps of the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship is lack of opportunities for investment. The startup event of marine applications will be held for new companies and startups to attract investments from one hand, and for investors to evaluate the prepared companies that have the capacity to be invested in from the other hand.

In terms of the goals of the event, Ghaderifar affirmed: the main goal of the event is direct negotiation between idea and startup owners and investors. This event will be held in two general (presentation of startups and ideas) and specialized (negotiation meetings between investors and startup owners) stages, where startups will have access to a large number of investors. After private meetings, investors will evaluate the startups and their idea progression level, as well as the attracted customers, market capacity and level of sale to express their opinions about investment.
