National Pavilion of Knowledge-based Companies Will Be Held in Afghan Plast 2018 Exhibition

The national pavilion of knowledge-based companies will be held in Afghan Plast 2018 exhibition with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and the national science foundation to develop export and international cooperation in areas of science, technology and innovation.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the second international exhibition of Afghan Plast will be held February 6th-9th, 2018 in Kabul, Afghanistan. The previous round of the exhibition was held in 2017 with the cooperation of 93 companies in an area of one thousand and 870 m2. Some of the most important areas of activity in the mentioned exhibition are polymer production equipment and machinery, recycling, raw and semi-finished plastic materials, polymer products in pipe and fittings, construction materials, substances, packaging and publication products, composite, plastic covers, flooring and carpet, profile, and paint and resin and related coatings.

In Afghan Plast Exhibition 2017, 43 Iranian companies were allocated an area of 870 m2 next to the other participants from Pakistan, China, India, Turkey and Afghanistan, and had meetings with other sections, such as commerce chamber of Afghanistan, organization of industrial towns, ministry of industries of Afghanistan and municipality of Kabul. In addition, the authorities and senior officers of Afghanistan, such as the first vice president, head of the chamber of commerce, deputy of ministry of commerce, and deputy of ministry of industries, visited the exhibition.

There are 150 Afghan companies in the production section and 70 companies and businessmen in the commerce of polymer products of the market of Afghanistan, and the most important commerce poles of these products include Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Kandahar and Nangarhar.

In addition, the most important countries that are present in the polymer product market are Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, China, Turkey and America. In the first seven months of the year, the level of export of polymer products (with the exception of machineries, textiles, shoes, bags and home appliances) had a 7% increase, reaching 61 million dollars from 57 million dollars.
