More than 2000 knowledge-based companies have used tax exemptions.

The secretary of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter stated: different programs have been designed to support knowledge-based companies, one of which is allocating tax exemptions. In this regard, more than 2000 knowledge-based companies have used tax exemptions.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Parviz Karami, mentioned the use of different support programs by knowledge-based companies based on the law, expressing: these companies also have a variety of specialized facilities and consultations. These support packages are designed to help the companies achieve stability in production by eliminating their problems.

Karami added: the Vice-Presidency has signed several agreements to more properly follow the instructions of the law for support of knowledge-based companies over the years. These efforts have led to the provision of more facilities for knowledge-based companies.

The secretary of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter continued: the mentioned tax exemptions have been considered in cooperation with Tax Affairs, so that these companies can take the easier path to move to a growth enterprise using these capabilities. The advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs also asserted: according to the law for support of knowledge-based companies and institutions, the taxable income of knowledge-based companies resulting from research and development of contracts or activities or due to commercialization of high-tech products will be exempt from income tax.

List of 2018

According to Karami, 2281 companies are subject to exemptions. In this regard, he marked: according to the law for support of knowledge-based companies and commercialization of innovations, the income of knowledge-based corporations and institutions can be exempted from the subject of Article 105 of the direct tax law for 15 years with the approval of the Vice President.
