Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: methods to prevent cancer are prioritized in biotechnology studies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter explained about the research priorities of the headquarter: the research working group of the headquarter has prioritized several topics, including diagnostic methods, and prevention and treatment of cancer in medical biotechnology.

He added: in addition, genetic engineering in the area of agricultural biotechnology and improvement of production of fermented products with the use of metabolic engineering and biotechnology of systems in industry of biotechnology are among the other priorities of the field.

According to Ghanei, there are several prioritized fields in biotechnology of the country, and the headquarter will dedicate extensive efforts to cover a large part of these demands.
