The vice president for science and technology affairs met with the ministry of science and technology of South Africa with the goal of developing scientific and technological cooperation.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs traveled to two cities of Pretoria and Johannesburg, South Africa, as the head of a technological and business delegation consisting of 46 managers of financial organizations and active knowledge-based companies in the field of information and communication technology, health and biotechnology, mine and relevant industries, industrial equipment and machinery, electricity and electronics.

In this travel, which was initiated on December 9^th 2018 will continue for four days to develop the export of knowledge-based products and expand international businesses, the Iranian knowledge-based companies will meet and negotiate with their African counterparts in the chamber of commerce of Africa.

On the first day of the travel, the vice president for science and technology affairs met with Ngubane,  the minister of science and technology of South Africa to talk about the development of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.

In this travel, Sattari will visit the council on science and industry research of South Africa and will attend the official feast held by the minister of science and technology along with the accompanied delegation.

South Africa is the most important country of the Africa continent, considered as one of the four prioritized African countries by the ministry of foreign affairs and the business development organization of Iran.

During this four-day travel, other programs will be held including joint business meetings with African counterparts and attending the science meeting of South Africa and industrial and business meetings.
