Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology, while visiting different sections of Iran Khodro Industrial Group, was informed about the progress of the updated designs and projects of this industrial complex.

Sattari also visited the research center of this industrial group and talked about the joint technological projects between the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology and the progress of these projects to provide the necessary grounds for the advancement of these projects.

The Vice President of Science and Technology cooperates with Iran Khodro Industrial Group and has provided platforms to support the production of modern economic and Iranian-made cars, production of native gearboxes, low-consumption three-cylinder engines of Iran, construction, localization of automotive electrical equipment using the capabilities of knowledge-based companies.

One of the technological axes discussed in this meeting is the design of Iran-made cars with the support of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology in Iran Khodro Industrial Group, which is supposed to develop conceptual design, specification, and standardization through a codified process.
Four months are planned for the concept design phase of this car so that with the support of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, the production process of this car will proceed with the help of knowledge-based companies and its process will be followed by a cooperation committee.

Referring to the technological potential of the automotive industry, the Vice President of Science and Technology said: "For example, localization of electrical and electronic equipment in automobiles, while creating employment, can reduce the value and self-sufficiency of this industry." Automation is the field in which knowledge-based and creative companies if have design capabilities, product development is achieved based on a common platform.
