According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the 19^th IRANIMEX exhibition was held as the largest and most valid marine exhibition of the country with the record of presence of foreigners in an Iranian marine exhibition by the efforts of marine engineering association and cooperation of marine society of the country.

Peyman Masoudzadeh, secretary of the exhibition, mentioned the main approach of the event, stating: this exhibition was held to present the domestic potentials and abilities and learn about the abilities of foreign companies in order to provide the foundation for information and technology exchange and familiarization between industrialists, experts, students, researchers, and other beneficiaries of universities and industry. Moreover, public culture building in the marine area was another major goal of this round of the exhibition.

He also expressed that about 300 domestic and 60 international companies attended this round of IRANIMEX2017. In this regard, he added: more than 500 foreign people registered for visit of the exhibition.

Masoudzadeh also affirmed that one of the features of this exhibition is its concurrency with the 19^th conference of marine industries, where science articles are presented and proper communication between academics and industrialists is created.

He pointed out: signing of contracts by companies during the exhibition is another feature of this event.

Secretary of the 19^th international exhibition of marine industries and seamanship announced: this year, the exhibition was inaugurated one day after the marine industries conference and was planned for three days due to concurrency of the inaugurations and some implied changes and limitations. However, the time of the exhibition was increased for two hours and we hosted the guests during 16:00-22:00.

Secretary of the 19^th international exhibition of marine industries and seamanship stated: it is not a secret that this exhibition is the most rooted marine exhibition of the country due to the size of participants and cooperation of foreign companies. However, in order to make the event more international, its location was decided to be the Kish Island with the cooperation of marine knowledge-based industries and technologies development headquarter. In this regard, coordination was made to attend the foreign international valid exhibitions by receiving a pavilion. In addition, an agreement was signed with Europort of the largest marine exhibition of Europe to benefit of their experience in the international section. These interchanges can significantly help the development of the international level of the exhibition.

At the end, secretary of the 19^th international exhibition of marine industries and seamanship marked: we hope that this conference and exhibition be regarded as a mission for informing the authorities and decision makers of this field, so that the role of the marine area in the government plans and measures could be more felt.
