Parviz Karami, Secretary of the Soft Technologies and Creative Industries Development Office in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, stated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, that supporting the development of cultural and creative industries along with the innovation ecosystem is one of the main priorities of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology. Joining creatives in the ecology of innovation and technology
In this exhibition, creative companies and cultural industries showcased their creative and innovative achievements in the field of handicrafts, cultural heritage and tourism. Therefore, Karami pointed to the importance of supporting the creative and cultural industries. Recently, based on a needs assessment conducted by the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, support for the ecology of creative companies and cultural industries that did not have a special trustee in the country was considered because many of these companies were not able to meet the criteria for becoming knowledge-based, although there was creativity and innovation in them and they were considered an innovative business. Therefore, the ecological development program of creative and cultural industries was put on the agenda.
Referring to the formation of the innovation ecosystem in Iran, the Middle East and the world, Karami said: "Iran has the largest innovation and technology ecosystem in the region." Recently, according to the latest report of the Gii Global Innovation Indicators, Iran is ranked 60th, while at the beginning we were ranked 120th due to the actions and support of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology for Innovation Ecology. Creating legal bases and infrastructures to support creative companies and cultural industries
The head of the executive staff of the National Document for the Development of Soft and Creative Technologies referred to the announcement of the National Document for the Development of Cultural and Soft Technologies and said: It has been proposed and is being approved by knowledge-based companies. Since there was no contribution for the creative industries in the previous law, we worked hard to add support for the creative ecosystem to the new law, which is fortunately being conducted.
The Secretary of the Soft Technologies and Creative Industries Development Headquarters in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology spoke about the steps taken to empower the activists of creative companies and cultural industries and continued: In order for this ecosystem to be dynamic and to meet the needs of the country, we started empowering the activists of creative companies by taking various measures. An important priority for us was the development of the technology and innovation ecosystem in the country. To achieve this, the establishment of innovation factories, creative and innovation houses and specialized accelerators in the field of soft technologies in the country was accelerated.
He continued by stating that the actions of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology are in line with the growth and development of knowledge-based and creative companies: Currently, there are about 6,100 knowledge-based companies and 1,400 creative companies operating in the country, activities that have brought 180,000 billion tomans in turnover and 350,000 direct jobs.
Development of innovative infrastructure to more than 1 million square meters
Karami pointed to the expansion of innovation zones and areas as another measure for the prosperity of this ecosystem and said: These areas have reached more than 1 million square meters. For example, in the Sharif Innovation area, there are more than 500 knowledge-based companies that take steps to meet the most technological needs of the country.
The Secretary of the Soft Technologies and Creative Industries Development Headquarters in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology spoke about the accelerated development of these areas and added: In addition to hundreds of accelerators and innovation centers, 9 innovation factories have been opened in the country and we have one of the best innovation factories in the deprived region of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Referring to infrastructure support for the development of these areas, Karami said: For example, in the field of blockchain or the Internet of Things, any financial accelerator to develop the products or services of creative and knowledge-based companies, the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology provides double support to stimulate demand and marketing.
The need to allocate a one percent share of the creative industries market to the world market
Karami referred to the market of creative and cultural industries in the world and said While the global turnover of creative companies and creative industries has been more than $ 2.7 trillion over the past three years, Iran can have at least a 1% share of this market, given its population.
The head of the National Document for the Development of Soft Technologies and Creative Industries, said from the beginning of activities to gain this share of the global creative market and continued: "We are trying to accelerate marketing, development, growth and promotion in this area."
Warm homes to support creative and innovative ecosystems
Referring to the creation of a special platform to support creative and cultural ecological activists, Karami said: We created creative and innovative houses as a platform for developing the activities of these companies. Forgotten places and textures that have been forgotten become a place for young people to enter creativity and innovation and give birth to creative companies. The recent collaboration with the Endowment and Charity Organization to allocate worn-out structures to creative and innovative homes was one of the steps in this direction.

The growth of creative houses and innovation in the field of cultural heritage
He spoke about the successful experience of creative and innovative houses and the need for comprehensive support for the creation of these houses and added: There were several large and heritage houses in the big cities that we used to flourish our creativity and bring valuable achievements. . The first house of this type is the house of Colonel Iraj, which is 200 years old, despite being marketed and renovated, is in the possession of startups.
According to Karami, Hirani Creative and Innovative House in Yazd is one of the first creative houses that was developed with the cooperation of the private sector and entered the field of networking in the field of soft technologies. Zahedan Creative House is also active in 3 areas of digital, audio-visual and handicraft businesses and entered networking in the field of soft technologies.
He pointed to the technological upgrade of the Golestan Museum Palace and said: "In this cultural and historical place, the process of revitalization and reconstruction has been done using new technologies such as virtual reality." The lighting of the pool house hall, the development of laboratories and workshops for the restoration of objects, and the use of virtual and new technologies are among the measures taken in this field with the help of knowledge-based and creative companies.
Karami referred to the activities of creative companies in the field of cultural and historical heritage and said: out of 1400 creative companies identified in the country, 56 companies are active in the field of handicrafts, 57 companies in the field of tourism, and 2 companies in the field of cultural heritage. We also currently have 64 creative and innovation houses in the country.
A platform for exporting products and services
Karami said the establishment of an export corridor in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology as well as innovation houses and technology exports of Iran made in other countries are other measures of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology to support international marketing for these companies and open the gates of global markets to knowledge-based and creative companies.
He said that the mentioned houses can create an opportunity to provide export products and services to other countries in the region, adding: "Development of infrastructure for knowledge-based and creative companies in export target countries is the most important goal of creating innovation and technology houses outside Iran."
