According to the agreement between the Iranian Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and ministry of science and technology of China, the program of exchanging young scientists to develop scientific cooperation between the two countries and use the capacities of both parties was implemented in 2017. This document was signed during the travel of the deputy vice minister of China to Iran in April 2017.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, to date, 11 applicants have attended the process of exchange of young Chinese scientists. Primary measures for acceptance of the both parties have been taken and currently the Iranian researchers are involved in the visa issuance process. The program will be announced by the national elites foundation, and it has been aimed to attract the enthusiasts of this field with an acceptable level of knowledge.

To participate in the program, scientists must be below 45 years, have full English or Chinese fluency and PhD or a work experience of five years in research.

Ministry of science and technology of China is obligated to provide a monthly amount of 12/500 Chinese Yuan along with insurance and proper living condition for the Iranian applicants. In addition, it was agreed to introduce the Iranian applicants to China in the beginning of the program.

The young scientist exchange program has been initiated since 2003 in the science and technology center of ministry of science and technology of China. To date, this program is being developed in all developing countries.

The science and technology exchange center of the ministry of science and technology of China has two missions of “developing international scientific and technological interactions of China” and “managing international projects”. China has aimed to attract many experts to its country.

Enthusiasts of the field can refer to the website of www.tysp.org to learn about the acceptance conditions and research titles and to register for the event and contact with the Chinese organization. After the registration, the organizations approve the presence of these individuals and announce it to the science and technology exchange center of the ministry of science and technology of China. In the next stage, the technology exchange office will upload the approval for the Iranian party in the profile of the applicants. At the end of the process, the science and technology exchange center of China will confirm the presence of the applicants based on the approvals of the Iranian party.
