According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Hesam Zand Hesami, general director of office of innovation and new businesses, stated that the innovation ecosystem of the sport area is not that developed, expressing: the innovation and commercialization deputy has aimed to expand its cooperation at the international level by recognizing the needs of this industry and being familiarized with the global attitudes. Therefore, after follow ups by the organization, we were able to had a meeting with the manager of international center of sport innovations of Microsoft based in Madrid, Spain. During this meeting, it was aimed to recognize their attitude toward innovation centers and their abilities. After explaining the abilities of the country and current startups in this field, we evaluated the methods to develop international cooperation so that the presented model could be used to share experiences and develop the patterns of sport industry, especially new businesses in the industry.

General director of office of innovation and new businesses emphasized the importance of creating presentable ideas at the international level, expressing: laying the foundations, especially for creating innovative ideas that can be presented at the international level, is one of the main concerns of the country since Iranian products will not just be produced in Farsi and sold in the country. In fact, they must be exported to neighbor countries. Therefore, the individuals must design their ideas by interacting with other countries.

Innovation Ecosystem in the Sport Area Requires Attention

Hesam Zand Hesami emphasized the importance of innovation in sport industry, affirming: innovation is required in any ecosystem as the necessary part of entrepreneurship. In this regard, the innovation ecosystem in the sport field is no exception.

General director of office of innovation and new businesses pointed out that the innovation and commercialization deputy is the custodian of the program for development of innovation centers in the country, claiming: in order to have access to international interactions innovation centers of the country with outside of the country, our goal is to interact with various international units. Therefore, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has aimed to establish sport innovation centers with the cooperation of sport research center to increase wealth in the country through the development of knowledge-based economy related to sport industry. In this path, it is very important to understand that health and sport are of significant importance. By doing so, a proper new business foundation can be laid in the industry.
