The minister of oil announced the establishment of Rey ecosystem in near future, stating: creating this region will increase interactions among activists of the field.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Bijan Zanganeh, the minister of oil, attended the 12^th nanotechnology fair to sign an agreement with the vice president for science and technology affairs and responded to the questions of journalists. He expressed: Rey ecosystem will be established in an area of 30 hectares near Tehran refinery.

He continued: establishment of this region will create valuable interactions among activists of the field, such as accelerators, startups, knowledge-based companies, support funds, advisors and technology receptors.

He also marked: oil industry has a huge capacity and responds to 10-billion needs of the market. This capacity can be used to develop startups and knowledge-based companies.

In the end, Zanganeh affirmed: catalysts, petrochemical and refinery processes are key sectors of the oil industry. In addition, the oil industry has needs in areas such as environmental issues, water treatment, heat transfer and crushing. After all, there are many areas of collaboration between the industry and knowledge-based companies.
