According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, stated during his visit of information and communication science and technology park: all of the activists in the area of innovation and technology are on the same side, and coordination and integration of this area is crucial for realization of innovation and technology ecosystem.

Weakness in Education as the Most Important Cause of Gap in Innovative Economy

Head of knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter expressed that fight of oil-based economy against the current of economy based on creativity and innovation is mainly caused by weakness in the educational structure of the country.

According to Sattari, the most important challenge in the current educational structure is dependency on government. In this regard, he asserted: in governmental structure, not only education cannot have the necessary efficiency in training creative and innovative human resource, but also economy based on innovation cannot be formed. This also applied to universities that are managed by government money. They will have a destiny similar to governmental industry, which cannot be active in a healthy competitive environment and requires constant help of the government for its survival.

Necessity of Formation of Learning Movement for Familiarization with Innovation in Community

Head of Iran national science foundation pointed out the movement of universities from reliance on government to independency through knowledge-based technology for guiding and improving the potential capacity of educated manpower, adding: university must define a suitable environment for entrepreneurship and innovation for graduates and spend its share of companies on the path of innovation. Sattari continued: education for moving toward innovation must be observed in all parts of society, and should not be only limited to higher education.

Role of Government in Research Guidance

Head of information, communication and cyberspace development headquarter noted that until proper foundations for activities of private companies and outsourcing are not laid by government research institutes, no problem can be solved by innovation. In this regard, he marked: experience has shown that efficacy and innovation cannot be obtained by reliance on government money. In contrast, government must only guide and create policies in the area of research.

Emphasizing on the fact that innovation comes out of the heart of the private sector, Sattari affirmed that the art of government is to guide research and science centers toward support and guide of potential of educated human resource to form an innovative business environment and create startups.

Necessity of Modification of Culture of Oil-based Economy

During his visit of science and technology park, Sattari mentioned that all of us are fighting in the front against oil-based economy, stating: there is incorrect culture in Iran due to the presence of oil-based economy, which has to be altered.

He continued: there are some oppositions against information and communication technology. However, this type of technology must be developed in the country due to its many advantages. This subject is seriously followed up by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

Amir Hossein Davaei, technology and innovation deputy of minister of information and communication technology, regarded the growth of creative companies and youth, along with laying the foundation for entering of this companies to national and international markets, to be the feature of information and communication science and technology park.

During his visit of the technology park, the vice president for science and technology affairs was accompanied by Mahdi Faghihi, secretary of information and communication and cyberspace development headquarter, Mahdi Safarnia, head of Pardis technology park, Mohammad Jafar Sedigh, advisor of the project of information and communication technology park, Amir Hossein Davaei, innovation and technology deputy of minister of information and communication technology, and Mohammad Khansari, head of information and communication technology research center.
