Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter announced the efforts by the government and this headquarter to increase the share of biotechnology in gross domestic product (GDP).

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, stated about the increase of share of biotechnology in GDP, expressing: the headquarter has aimed to design rules and regulations to link human resources and production, so that a great share of GDP could be allocated to biotechnology in the next four years.

He continued: a country that contains thousands of capitals requires proper management to supply 10% of GDP through investment in the biotechnology area. In this regard, the private sector could have a significant participation.

According to Ghanei, biotechnology has a high potential of wealth creation, which must be properly exploited in the country.
