According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, we currently in an era where knowledge-based economy, an economy based on technology and creative and innovative human resources, which has turned it into a product and achievement in a community, has many applications.

A research grants are provided as support for researchers, who are faculty members of universities and research centers of the country with the minimum position of associate professor. These individuals have special research abilities and perform studies in various scientific and technological areas. This grant is five hundred thousand million IRR provided for one year.

According to this report, 103 research grants have been provided for researchers of the country since 2009, each of which has obtained achievements in the science area of the company. However, 43 out of 103 projects have been completed, and 166 ISI articles, three research articles, one patent registration and four book compilations have been the achievements of these finished projects. Moreover, design and production of advanced nanostructured materials sensitive to visible light as a photo catalyst for water purification, creation of a smart sublayer for maintenance and control of pluripotency in stem cells, fluidization technology and engineering, new nanostructural catalysts, fourier analysis and applications, electricity (singular systems) and evaluation of methods to increase heat transfer are some of the titles of the grants. Therefore, this act can be step toward the scientific development of the country since a research could not be limited to only one idea and the next steps would lead to production of products. However, in addition to producing a product and meeting the needs of the society, benefits, such as entrepreneurship and creation of occupation, are observed in this regard.
