The seventh international innovation and technology exhibition (INOTEX 2018) was started with the slogan of “smart city, smart life” and with the cooperation of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the seventh international innovation and technology exhibition (INOTEX 2018) was started in Goftogoo Boustan with the slogan of “smart city, smart life” and with the cooperation of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

Akbar Ghanbarpour, secretary of this round of the exhibition, stated on the inauguration ceremony: this is the seventh round of INOTEXT, which was initiated since 2012 and hosted foreign technological companies during the first two years. Since 2014, Iranian companies were added to the exhibition. Over three years, meaning from the third to fifth INOTEX, the event hosted technological companies. It means that only one component of innovation ecosystem is addressed in this event.

According to Ghanbarpour, the main goal of holding this year’s exhibition was presence of all components of the ecosystem. After proper research in this regard, 13 components of this ecosystem were recognized and will be hosted by INOTEX 2018.

These components include startups, VCs, media, event holders, instructors and others.

Ghanbarour continued: a number of companies that provide services will also be present in this round of the event. However, the exhibition is not limited to just an exhibition and contains three sections.

The first section is the exhibition and the second section encompasses the events that will be held in 10 areas. We expect commercial and business output from these events. The third section includes the promotional events of the exhibition.

In explaining about various parts of the exhibition, Ghanbarpour expressed: Bani Event, valuable idea making, creative morning of Iran and others will be held in the stage section of the exhibition. Moreover, the meeting of the innovation networking will be held with regard to the subject of “smart city”.

“INOTEXT Pitch” is also the title of a startup competition that was previously held in four cities of the country and the final stage will be carried out along with INOTEX 2018.

The secretary of the seventh INOTEX 2018 announced good news about holding the INOTEX Pitch event, marking: with the support of chamber of commerce of Tehran, the final four top startups will be sent to GITEX 2018.

Another event held in the exhibition is the meeting of renewable energies technology for companies that are members of D8. In this event, active countries in the field of renewable energies will hold meetings with each other and learn about other technologies.

According to the INOTEX 2018 secretary, other events of the exhibition include INOTEX talent, regional technomarts meeting, and meeting of companies in the area of ICT. Furthermore, the side events include “INOJAVAN” for adolescents, technology experience and asset café. In this section, 110 investment meetings will be held in three days.

The seventh international exhibition of INOTEX2018 was held in the presence of a number of authorities and deputies of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and a number of ambassadors with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs during July 7^th-8^th, 2018.
