The biotechnology development headquarter will rank healthy agricultural products in the form of healthy product network.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the biotechnology development headquarter has established healthy product network with the title of “Shams Project” for empowering, support, promotion, and ranking of healthy agricultural products and marketing and selling of these products in line with improvement of health and maintaining food safety.

The 12-step model of healthy product from farm to table has been designed in the biotechnology development headquarter. If these steps and chains are placed correctly next to each other, a licensed product will be provided for customers. This ranking in products is assessed based on the current licenses of products, including standard sign and ISOs. Since the majority of Iranian consumers have no information about these licenses, we must raise their awareness in this regard.

This network has been established with 150 members and 60 companies that produce mineral, organic and biological fertilizers are ready to become the members of the network. In addition, more than 100 members in the organic association and other relevant associations have the potential to join the network.

Financial support of the chain as a working capital is a problem that must be addressed. The healthy product network requires at least 20 operational research projects, which are being prepared by the biotechnology development headquarter. Currently, five projects have been performed, the most important of which was tracking healthy food from farm to table.

In this project, all information of a product are provided in conventional barcodes, which can be checked online by referring to www.GST1.ir. In addition, the membership club for fans of healthy products has been designed with the name of www.salemclub.ir and the website for introducing healthy products is www.salemkala.ir, where the licensed products are informed.
