Ruhollah Dehghani, the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy, has appointed Hamid Zulfaghari, who previously worked as the deputy head of innovation and technology commercialization, to the position of the "head of the deputy for the development of knowledge-based economy ".

In Dehghani's ruling addressed to Zulfaghari, it is stated: In view of the improvement of the organizational structure in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and based on your competence and experience, I hereby appoint you as the head of the Deputy for the Development of Knowledge-Based Economy. Considering the high goals of this deputy and the necessity of planning and development in promoting the knowledge-based economy of the country, special missions are considered for your excellency.

The missions include: "Management of sectoral economic development headquarters to play a maximum role in the development of the knowledge-based economy", "Definition, preparation and management of the portfolio of technology driving programs in cooperation with other relevant sectors", "Development of large-scale cooperation with government agencies and large private companies for promoting the role of knowledge foundations in the economy by forming specialized consortia", "Establishing effective communication with advanced technology headquarters and economic development headquarters for the development of targeted technology with the cooperation of relevant departments", "Maximum utilization of all anticipated capacities in the of knowledge-based production leap law and other upstream documents", "Cooperation in developing legal and institutional frameworks in the establishment of knowledge-based economy with the cooperation of relevant departments" and "Development of innovation centers with the participation of large industries to improve the level of research and development of industries with cooperation Knowledge-based and technological companies".
