Experiences of Dutch Researchers in the Area of Tissue Engineering Are Transferred to Iran

The stem cells science and technology development headquarter negotiated with a Dutch delegation in order to transfer the experiences of Dutch researchers in the area of tissue engineering to Iran.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, a Dutch delegation traveled to Iran as the representative of Amsterdam universities. After negotiations, it was decided to transfer the technology and experiences of these researchers about cancer treatment, specially bone, head and neck cancers, tissue engineering of cancer tissues and oral hygiene to Iran with the support of the stem cells science and technology development headquarter.

In a meeting held in the presence of this Dutch delegation, projects were explained by the Dutch team first. Following that, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter provided some explanations about license acquisition rules for Iranian-made products.

He expressed: the necessity of gaining license for products from food and drug administration of the ministry of health is obtaining the license of clinical trials. In addition, Dr. Kabir Salmani explained about the stages of registration and obtaining license from food and drug administration and sending the files to him.

Moreover, Ghasem Amooabedini, faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, talked about the cooperation areas between this university and the Dutch delegation. He also explained about the necessity of international cooperation and establishment of international standards.

 

This meeting was held in the presence of Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter, Maryam Kabir Soleimani, manager of public relations and international affairs, Alireza So’a Hasani, manager of technology development and commercialization, Ghasem Amooabedini, faculty member of Tehran University of medical sciences, and a Dutch delegation, to transfer technology and develop products in the area of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
