Establishment of 100 new knowledge-based companies in the Sharif Science and Technology Park as part of the Simorgh program
The new science and technology park building in Sharif University of Technology was opened in this university in the presence of Ruhollah Dehghani, the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy.
According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Dehghani said in this ceremony, referring to the capacity of Sharif University and Innovation District in the creation and development of university knowledge-based companies, "The science and technology park in Sharif University of Technology is honestly one of the parks in the strength of the country's science and technology and Sharif's ecosystem of technology and innovation is rapidly on the path of growth and development.
Referring to the support for the development of infrastructure for the creation and establishment of new knowledge-based companies, the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy said: the building that was opened today with an area of 1,000 square meters provides a useful space for technological and innovative work for at least 25 innovative teams. And one of the steps towards the realization of a big program that is implemented under the title of Simorgh to develop knowledge-based companies.
Dehghani, referring to the advantages and characteristics of the knowledge-based ecosystem of the Innovation Zone and Science and Technology Park in Sharif University of Technology, said: Sharif Science and Technology Park is at the top of the best science and technology parks at the international level and has taken valuable steps towards its creation and development. Knowledge-based companies have taken knowledge-based products and technology. In the Sharif Innovation Zone, knowledge-based companies live with the people of this area.
The head of the National Elites Foundation continued: This coexistence has brought both the improvement of the level of the region and the level of capability of knowledge-based companies and the growth of knowledge-based companies.
The vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy added: Currently, nearly 660 highly capable knowledge-based companies, equivalent to 8% of all knowledge-based companies in the country, are operating in the Sharif innovation area in a 250-hectare area, and with this process, they can form one of the influential innovation areas in the region that transform our industry.
