According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out that startups have created a new area for providing services in a meeting with Mohammad Shari’atmadari, minister of industry, mine and trade, stating: good things can happen by knowledge-based companies in the area of product distribution with the support of ministry of industry, mine and trade, making a new platform for regulation of market.

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the participation of knowledge-based companies in the area of product distribution to be suitable, expressing: administrative bureaucracy and financing system are two problems of knowledge-based companies and technological businesses, which must be taken into consideration more than before. Over the past two years, we have witnessed significant investments in service startups, which is indicative of increased activities of technological companies that provide a type of service.

Head of Iran national elites foundation pointed out the support of technological companies by the ministry of industry, mine and export, affirming: decreased costs and entering of new technologies of the world in industry are two advantages of startups and new businesses. In our country, we can have proper activities to solve environmental problems by the support of the ministry of industry, mine and export in the area of vehicle production.

Sattari regarded the condition of knowledge-based companies in the area of technology (e.g., biotechnology and medical equipment) to be favorable, asserting: these technological companies might require more time for economic prosperity. However, as it is observed, they have been able to take huge steps, such as exporting medications to Russia.

He also announced that special projects, such as production of electric cars and internet of objects with a focus on the private sector, are on the agenda of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to form and follow up a joint committee between the ministry of industry, mine and trade and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs to achieve a mutual roadmap for future collaborations.
