The 3D-printing educational workshop will be held July 5^th 2018 by Iran institute of additive manufacturing.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the 3D-printing educational workshop will be held to empower the enthusiasts of the field in the idea creation stage to the construction by a 3D-printer (additive manufacturing) both in theory and practice. This workshop will include basic principles of additive manufacturing (3D printing and scanning), familiarization with 3D designing software, learning how to render a 3D file and prepare it for 3D printing, learning how to work with 3D printers and implement easy projects to obtain the final product. In addition to direct work with the device and construction of specific pieces, the attendees of the workshop will receive a card to work with the 3D printers that exist in the workshop.

According to this report, 3D printing is a construction method that makes the final piece by placing the layer on the material layer. 3D printers are capable of making complexities that no other device can do. In addition, rapid prototyping and the ability to produce a large number of unique components without the need for special preparation is another unique feature of this technology. Therefore, considering that this technology will become one of the top technologies of the world by 2025, it is necessary to learn about this area. However, the advanced manufacturing and materials technologies development has some plans for this area as well to empower the country in this field and design the relevant roadmap.
