The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the algae company of Qeshm and open space museum of launches of Qeshm, evaluating the development of entrepreneurship and added value by creating knowledge-based companies and creative and cultural industries.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, visited the algae bio refinery of Qeshm in the first part of his one-day travel.

Dustaku village in Qeshm Island is the host of several entrepreneurial and creative youth who have been able to produce knowledge-based products, added value and occupations from algae.

Today, the vice president for science and technology affairs went to Qeshm to talk with innovation and entrepreneurship activists of this company, who selected the local capacities of this historical island for their knowledge-based productions.

Knowledge-based Economy in Dustaku Village

The activists of this knowledge-based units presented their achievements and applications in production of food and protein, bio-fuels, drugs, and cosmetics.

This bio refinery in the Dasheksh district of Qeshm is producing and processing biological knowledge-based products from algae with a high added value with the help of creative residents and local technology of the region.

It is worth noting that the major part of algae is used in food and protein products.

Guran, the Land of Launches

Sattari also visited Guran village and launch creators of the village during this one-day travel. The small and big wooden launches of this historical village are the historical and cultural assets of the Persian Gulf and could lay the foundation for improved tourism in this area.

The open-space museum of launches showcases the achievements of rural people and launches that were produced many centuries ago.

The coast of Guran village has been the place of construction and repair of traditional launches. The creative and entrepreneurial youth use the local capacities of the village to create added value and occupations and develop tourism industry aiming at introducing launch production to tourism by creating a creative and cultural industry.
