Development of Knowledge-based Economy Will Be Possible by Realization of Six Key Factors.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahdi Eliasi, deputy of policy making and strategic evaluation, introduced six key factors for development of knowledge-based economy in the country in the fifth gathering of nano technology economy.

According to Eliasi, three key factors for flourishing of this economy in the country include:  directing intellectual property rights towards the creation of wealth, achieving the knowledge of valuing and pricing intangible assets as the main asset of knowledge-based and technological companies and rule of credit system instead of the collateral system in the field of investment.

Elisi mentioned that presence of professional players, renovation and change of attitude of the government and improvement of human resource quality are three other major factors, absence of which makes it impossible to develop a knowledge-based economy. In this regard, he asserted: various players, especially investment activists, must professionally enter the area of knowledge-based economy.

Pointing out the fact that the government must create new processes and structures for development of knowledge-based economy, the main goal of which is use of knowledge-based products by all social-economic organizations of the country, he affirmed: the government must put the institutionalization of knowledge-based economy on its agenda instead of direct intervention.

Deputy of policy-making and strategic evaluation introduced the nanotechnology development headquarter as one of the institutional innovations in this field, expressing: creating a wide network of public and private organizations, which provide technological services, this headquarter has created the foundations for development of nanotechnologies in the country.

At the end, he emphasized the proper capacity of young and educated human resource in the country as the main component of knowledge-based economy development, regarding the empowering of this manpower as one of the most important challenges in the field of skills and entrepreneurship, conveying: we need to improve the quality of this large capacity by venture capitals to achieve development in knowledge-based economy.
