Development of Cooperation between Iran and Oman in Various Science and Technology Areas
Development of scientific and technological cooperation between Iran and Jordan was emphasized in a meeting between Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange, and Dr. Al-rabiei, director general of the pharmaceutical department of the ministry of health of Oman.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange and head of the international science and technology interactions, had a meeting with Dr. Al-rabiei, director general of the pharmaceutical department of the ministry of health of Oman, in which a report on the recent activities of the Vice-Presidency in the area of science and technology development, asserting: one of the priorities of the Vice-Presidency in the past years has been the support and development of knowledge-based companies.
However, other tasks followed up by the Vice-Presidency include the development of accelerators, innovation centers and support of development of international businesses of knowledge-based companies.
He continued: over the past five years, constructive interactions have been made between Iran and Oman in various areas of science and technology, and cooperative operational models are defined by the research council of Oman.
Birang also expressed: the geographical, cultural and political ties between the two countries have provided us and Omani parties with an opportunity to make deeper and more effective bonds between research centers and active private sector in the area of technology by proper policies. Inviting the research companies and institutes of both countries for visit of the technological infrastructures of Iran and Oman would be an effective step in this regard.
During this meeting, Dr. Al-Rabiei appreciated being invited to participate in visit of technological achievements of Iran in the area of health, regarding it as an opportunity for development of technological cooperation between Iran and Oman. He also mentioned the primary agreements on facilitation of registering and marketing of drugs and biological products of Iran in Oman, considering the benefits of being present in the Omani market and re-export from this country to other regional countries.
In addition, the science and technology delegation of Oman visited Pardis Technology Park and CinnaGen during this travel.
