The bio-economy working group of the biotechnology development headquarter has considered several programs to establish an infrastructure for cooperation between industry and university.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the bio-economy working group of the biotechnology development headquarter has been established within the framework of policies and strategies confirmed by the biotechnology development headquarter and in line with the biotechnology roadmap of the country with the goal of advancing the strategic goals of the headquarter to improve the economy based on bio products and services. This working group seeks the implementation of project of increasing cooperation between industry and university based on bio-economy.  

“Pathology and planning to complete the development of standards for marketable biotechnology products”, “providing support and incentive mechanisms to support the entry of bio-technology products into the market (government subsidies, correction of the tax system, provision of government tariffs)”, “designing a virtual bio-economy network and creating an information infrastructure of world"s biotech products”, “providing solutions for using international capacities for the development of the bio-economy and exporting new and existing products (in coordination with the export team to address potential deficiencies)”, and “assessing the identification of new areas for biotechnology” are among the responsibilities of the working group.
