Cooperation between Iran and Germany in the Field of Energy Will Be Developed.
The first joint specialized committee in the area of energy was held between Iran and Germany, so the collaborations between these two countries would be improved by designing a road map.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first joint specialized committee in the area of energy was held in two days by the cooperation of energy technology development headquarter, so that strategies for cooperation between the countries in this area could be evaluated. Some of the most important topics of this meeting were industries of oil, gas and petrochemistry, energy optimization, electricity and renewable energies.
Amir Hossein Mirabadi, head of the international workgroup for technology diplomacy of the energy technologies development headquarter, expressed about the goals of this committee: some of the purposes of this committee have been designing a cooperation mechanism between Iran and Germany, determining the work priorities and subjects of each field, so that at the end, the presented subjects could be turned into a roadmap to increase the collaborations of the two countries in this area.
He continued: by designing this roadmap, a support infrastructure is in fact created, so that activities and projects related to this area could be supported by the two governments. In addition, barriers to collaborations in the private sector could be eliminated, so that the relationships of the two countries in this area could be expanded.
The first specialized energy committee of Iran and Germany was held October 24th-25th, 2017 in Tehran, attended by the deputy minister of international affairs and trade for minister of oil, Michael Klor-Berchtold, German ambassador in Iran, Sirous Vatankhah Moghadam, secretary of energy technologies development headquarter, as well as government and private delegations of the two countries.
