Secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter announced the publication of the book of “40 Years of Science, Technology and Innovation” and stated: by publishing this book, the achievements of 40 years of Islamic revolution in the field of science and technology will be showcased to the public.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Parviz Karami, secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter, expressed that the capacities of Iran"s science, technology and innovation system have been continuously upgraded over the last forty years. In this regard, he added: this scientific development is the result of numerous years of efforts of experts of the country that should be exposed to the public. Therefore, the book of "40 Years of Science, Technology and Innovation" is published in three chapters.

Karami continued: in each chapter, the most important achievements and efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of science and technology over the past four decades are presented. Of course, science, technology, and innovation policies have focused on the various loops of the "market-to-market chain" in these four decades, depending on the priorities of each era. Therefore, the science and technology system has evolved gradually, in a way that today, a foundation is laid for a knowledge-based economy and economy of resistance.

Secretary of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter described various chapters of the book, asserting: in the first chapter, the process of development of infrastructure and sources of technology and innovation in the years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution are examined. In the second chapter, the achievements of the system of science and technology are depicted and the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in scientific publications, technology development, and knowledge-based economics are shown. Finally, the third chapter looks at Iran"s path to science and technology and is an inspirational image that can be expected in light of recent advances.

The book of “40 Years of Science, Technology and Innovation” was unveiled in book garden by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, concomitant with the 40^th anniversary of Islamic revolution.

This book is introduced to the book market of the country by the efforts of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter and specifically assesses four decades of science, technology, and innovation development in Islamic Iran. In addition, the book is published by Knowledge-based Publications.
