According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the second edition of book of roadmap of marine technologies of Iran was introduced and unveiled in a meeting held by marine knowledge-based industry and technology development headquarter in the presence of prominent marine professors and experts of the country to evaluate the methods to improve marine technology activities of the country.
Amir Hossein Safargholi, secretary of research and strategic planning group of marine knowledge-based industry and technology development headquarter, stated: creating the roadmap of marine technologies was initiated in 2014 with the cooperation of marine organizations and institutes. After recognizing about 50 major areas in this field, ID of technology areas was provided to identify the technological priorities in this regard.
Safargholi added: to date, 11 technology areas have been studied and their roadmap has been finalized, summary of which is presented in the book of roadmap of marine technologies of Iran. The final version of the book was introduced in a meeting with professors and faculty members of universities and scientific centers.
Secretary of research and strategic planning group of marine knowledge-based industry and technology development headquarter emphasized the importance of evaluation of current condition of technology in the country, affirming: in this book, it has been attempted to evaluate the current condition of technology, illustrate the tree of technology and evaluate the available abilities, opportunities and challenges in development of related technologies, and prioritize technologies based on time and method of their achievement.
According to this report, methodology of designing the marine technology roadmap of Iran, marine industries and activities of the country, goals of development of marine industry in the country in 1404 vision plan, illustration of roadmap, covers and colors, sea bed exploitation systems for oil and gas resources and design standards for offshore structures are some of the main head titles of the book.
Other titles of the book include maintenance and repair of marine structures, marine impellers, main driving force, marine industry software, under surface robots, design and modeling of environmental conditions, extraction of energy from waves and extraction of natural compounds from marine resources. This book has been published in 144 pages.
