In order to promote science in line with the straightening of interactions between experts and specialists to exchange ideas and present findings and new theories, holding scientific conferences in the area of biotechnology will be supported.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, biotechnology development headquarter has announced in the regulations of “support of holding biotechnology conferences of Iran” that promotion of the latest scientific, research and technology achievements is essential. Therefore, the biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to improve the quality and effectiveness of scientific conferences related to biotechnology by holding conferences according to this regulation.

Any type of science, research and technology gatherings related to biotechnology, which is held by experts of the field in order to exchange knowledge and information and present related achievements by researchers and industry owners, will be regarded as biotechnology conference.

Periodic conferences (annual and biennial), conferences with educational workgroups, in which new research achievements are presented and education, and conferences held with the help of industry in line with solving a part of problems of the country, are prioritized by the headquarter.
