According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, along with the approval of regulation for creating the energy and environment optimization market, the Vice-Presidency has aimed to hold a series of meetings within the framework of the assigned duties and in order to increase the coordination between relevant units and the regulation and exchange of experiences. To this end, the first meeting of organizing the mechanism for implementing the regulation of energy and environment optimization market was held.

In the beginning of the meeting, Zeynab Hamidzadeh, advisor to the vice president for science and technolgy affairs and the national presenter for creation of the energy and environment optimization market, explained about the role of the Vice-Presidency in the formation process of this market.

Pointing out the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the ministry of environment of Germany and the Vice-Presidency in line with the implementation of the mentioned regulation, Hamidzadeh asserted: the Vice-Presidency has prioritized attracting international cooperation. According to the agreement between the Vice-Presidency and the ministry of environment of Germany, and after holding several meetings, the suggestion for helping the implementation of the energy and environment optimization market in Iran was approved by the ministry of environment of Germany, and the German and Iranian advisors of this project were introduced.

She explained about the Article 4 of the regulation for creation of the energy and environment optimization market, affirming: according to the fourth paragraph of Article 4 of the market regulation, the relevant organizations are responsible for preparing a report on the progress of affairs in line with the regulations, which must be presented to the specialized energy-saving commission of the higher energy council of the country every six months by the Vice-Presidency.

The national presenter of the project continued: the market can be properly established if we accurately implement the agreement between the Vice-Presidency and the ministry of environment of Germany and have maximum cooperation of stake-holders.

Sabouhi, a faculty member at Sharif University of Industry, who was another lecturer in the meeting, stated: energy optimization has been an issue in Iran for about 23 years now, taking various measures to control this area. Unfortunately, there are numerous barriers to the implementation of this market, which have led to limited achievements in this area.

He emphasized the implementation of the project with the cooperation of the ministry of environment of Germany and the investment of the private sector, expressing: the government is moving toward investment, and implementation of the projects must be assigned to the private sector, which is the most important philosophy behind the establishment of the optimization market.

The first meeting of organizing the mechanism for implementing the regulation of energy and environment optimization market was held in the presence of Zeynab Hamidzadeh, women’s affairs advisor of the Vice-Presidency, Yadollah Sabousi, a faculty member at Sharif University of Industry, and some of the representatives of various organizations, including environment protection organization, renewable energies organization, and SATBA, planning affairs of ministry of oil, energy affairs of budget and planning organization, energy consumption optimization company, and representatives of the international interactions center.

According to this report, the first meeting for initiation of the cooperation project with the ministry of environment of Germany for implementation of the energy and environment optimization market was held November 21^st 2018 in the presence of Sorena Sattari, representatives of executive organizations that are members of the high energy council, relevant managers and experts, the ambassador of Germany in Tehran, representatives of ministry of environment of Germany an technical German cooperators from Economy Institute of Germany and active companies of the project.
