According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, stated: the third Olympiad on stem cells and regenerative medicine is annually held since 2015 with the financial and spiritual support of stem cells science and technologies development headquarter and the national center for exceptional talents and young researchers as the custodian of the event.

He added: in contrast to its first round and similar to its second round, this Olympiad will be held concomitant with other Olympiads while adhering to all standards of other official student Olympiads of the country. Registration deadline for the third round of Olympiad of stem cells and regenerative medicine is December 9^th-16^th, 2017.

He also expressed: despite the fact that student Olympiad on stem cells and regenerative medicine does not have any share of the entrance exam of university, similar to other Olympiads, about 90% of participants of the first round were allowed to take the entrance exam of 2017 and were enrolled in top universities of the country in fields of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, in a way that one student obtained the score of eight and another one received the score of 22 in the whole country.

According to Hamidieh, the main feature of this Olympiad is a wider look at knowledge and attention to technology and entrepreneurship.

Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter mentioned that this Olympiad will be held exactly like its previous rounds, asserting: all processes for holding the Olympiad of stem cells and regenerative medicine will be held by various sections of ministry of education, including informatics center, Shahid Rajaei Teacher Training University, secondary education deputy and assessment center. In addition, more than 40% of the questions of the Olympiad have an aspect of attitude.

It should be noted that the third round of the Olympiad on stem cells and regenerative medicine will be held December 16^th 2017 with the cooperation of stem cells science and technology development headquarter. Those eager to participate in the event can register during the period of December 9^th-16^th, 2017.
