Chairman of Iran national space administration stated: Iran has been ranked second in terms of spatial navigation in the region, which is acceptable. However, we need to increase our efforts to reach the first place.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration expressed about the situation of Iran in the spatial technology of the region, affirming: we have aimed to rank different sections for better understanding of the situation of Iran among regional countries. In this regard, we have obtained acceptable results.

He added: after the evaluations, Iran obtained the second rank in the region in terms of infrastructures for launching, the second rank for exploration science, fifth rank for remote sensing, seventh rank for telecommunication, fifth rank for satellite technologies, and the second rank for navigation.

According to Manteghi, establishing six specialized committees of remote sensing and definition of research projects in the area of spatial applications with the cooperation of executive organizations are other programs in this field.
