A percentage of education in universities of the country must be allocated to specialized activities
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Alireza Daliri, deputy for management and resources development headquarter, pointed out that education in the country is not adjusted to the society needs during the meeting of cooperation agreement between the chamber of commerce of Iran and vocational university, stating: unfortunately, so far, our demands have not been based on the need for industry in the country owing to the weaknesses present in the education system of the country. Therefore, graduates do not select their fields based on society needs but enter various fields only according to the current competitive environment. Therefore, there is an obvious need for specialized activities in the education system of the country, and must contain a percentage of academic educations of the country.
Daliri affirmed: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has aimed to establish the innovation centers, accelerators and startup weekends to emphasize the presence of the private sector in creation of association between graduates and industries in a way that in addition to solving industrial problems of the country, occupations could be created. This requires the activities of academic activists in scientific fields.
Deputy for management and resources development headquarter explained about the different in performance of vocational universities and the top universities of the country, expressing: along with their own education, vocational universities have scientific educational workshops. Therefore, graduates of these universities can enter the work market with expertise. Meanwhile, graduates of top universities of the country cannot work in the private sector since they have only learned the theoretical topics of their field.
According to this report, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between knowledge-based assembly of the chamber of commerce and vocational university of the country at the location of the chamber of commerce in the presence of managers of the private and academic sections.
