A Vitrine for Presenting Made-in-Iran Goods in 3D Printing

The second comprehensive event of Iran Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) will be held December 14th-16th to be a vitrine for presenting Iran’s 3D printing achievements to global market and to persuade domestic customers to use Iranian goods.

According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, the comprehensive additive manufacturing event (IRAN 3D SHOW) is an annual event playing an important role in evaluating domestic 3D printers and 3D printing services. This event can be a vitrine for presenting Iran’s 3D printing achievements to global market and persuade domestic customers to use Iranian goods as well as facilitating the relationship between customers and domestic manufacturers.

The aim of holding this event is to introduce active start-ups in the field of 3D printing in the country to Iranian industries and customers and to facilitate Iran’s 3D printing businesses to local and global markets. The first Iran 3D show event was held in April 2017 in Iran International Conference Center.

Holding a Comprehensive Event in 3 Sections

The second comprehensive event of Iran Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) will be held December 14th-16th nationally with the aim of aggregating the current domestic capacities and creating connection between this field’s activists and advanced manufacturing and material technologies development headquarter’s management in three orientations in Tehran’s Book’s Garden. Regarding the increasing trend of this technology in the country and also academic and research sections’ attention paid to this topic, a professional scientific conference section in the field of additive manufacturing has been added to this event in addition to the exhibition assigned to industrial, research and even academic activists’ presence this year. Students, professors, researchers and industrialists present their scientific-research papers and latest achievements and investigations in this section. Moreover, key notes will be provided by domestic and foreign experts of this field. Furthermore, the first national 3D printing contest for teachers and students of schools and the countrywide 3D printing contest for collegiate students will be held concurrently with the second comprehensive event of Iran Additive Manufacturing event.

Providing Iran’s 3D Printing Achievements

People interested in additive printing industry, economic and scientific activists, investors, 3D printer manufacturers and also service agencies (3D printing services, 3D scanning services, trading and selling printer and raw material services) will demonstrate their achievements for 3 days at the exhibition.

Trying to Publicizing 3D Printing

Students, professors, researchers and industrialists provide their scientific-research papers and latest achievements and investigations in the professional scientific conference section. Selected papers will be published in valid journals with index.

A Contest for Improving Students’ Creativity

The contest is held in two sections this year. These sections are collegiate student, and school students and teachers. Understanding geometry is difficult for most students and they are often troubled in calculating the abstract shapes. 3D printing helps student know geometry better and increases their creativity significantly. 3D printing is a key toll in teaching the STEM program where studying turn to playing.

A Contest for Collegiate Students

Making light constructions with high resistance and strength has always been engineering parts’ designers’ demand. Decreasing weight in mobile aerial, marine and terrestrial constructions such as plane, ship, vehicle and train can lead to improvements in consumption fuel, load-carrying capacity and so many other items. Weigh reduction is important even in building industry, make-up and clothing.

25 knowledge-based companies and universities will provide their achievements in total. Moreover, more than 35 academic student, school student and teachers’ group will compete in the contest part. Furthermore, 8 keynotes and 29 articles will be presented at the conference part so that the latest achievements and researches on this field can be observed.

The second comprehensive event of Iran Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) will be held December 14th-16th at Tehran Book’s Garden.
