According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Naser Aghdami, scientific secretary of the 3^rd international festival and congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine, stated: research in the field of regenerative medicine and stem cells, including fundamental studies of the knowledge border, animal applied research and clinical trials have created a new horizons in the identification, control and treatment of many degenerative diseases by using the latest technology in the world to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases.

Aghdami pointed out that the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter will host students and prominent scholars of the world for the third consecutive year, expressing: various medical and biological areas will be covered on the third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine, which will be held November 24^th-December 1^st, 2018 in Tehran.

According to Aghdami, the main topics of the congress of this year include a wide range of modern topics such as latest advancements in tissue engineering fields and biomaterials, cell banks, cell therapy, immune cell therapy, gene therapy, ethical considerations, genetic manipulations, organoids and their application in the modeling of diseases and development, cell proliferation and reprogramming, as well as the introduction of new technologies used in stem cell research.

Secretary of the 3^rd national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine regarded the most important objective of the event to be gathering young scientists from various fields of medicine, biology, engineering and holding workshops, scientific meetings, recognizing and introducing top idea owners to investors and introducing active domestic companies in the field of stem cells.

He invited all scientists, researchers, and investors of the health section, as well as all students and enthusiasts of the field to attend the event, claiming: this presence will contribute to the scientific richness of the country by presence of Iranian and foreign prominent professors and guests.
