Closing ceremony of summit of Iran and Russia top universities’ chancellors  held by the presence of Sorena Sattari, science and technology vice-president and chancellors  of Iran and Russia top universities. 

According to public relations and communication center of science and technology vice-presidency, closing ceremony of summit of Iran and Russia top universities’ chancellors  held by the presence of Sorena Sattari, science and technology vice-president and chancellors  of Iran and Russia top universities and in this ceremony, 30 cooperation agreements were signed between Iran and Russia universities’ chancellors. 

Science and technology vice-president, by welcoming the chancellors  of top Iranian and Russian universities, expressed his delight from development of international cooperation between universities of two countries and by pointing to the intention of science and technology vice-presidency for supporting knowledge border research and attention to fundamental research in different fields of science, pointed to the joint research projects between Iranian and Russian universities and hoped that these cooperation develop and accelerate in near future. 

According to this report, in the visit of science and technology vice-president and third meeting of high commission for technologic cooperation between both countries, by the presence of Russian prime-minister deputy, various science and technology fields including nanotechnology and biotechnology, medical equipment, treatment of difficult to care diseases, cognitive sciences, university relations and similar fields were among cooperation axes of Iran and Russia. This meeting was held between chancellors of universities of both countries along with agreements in the university work groups and high committee of Iran and Russia technologic cooperation, by support of science and technology vice-presidency of Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia Federation. 

In this ceremony, chancellors of other top universities of Iran signed cooperation agreement with chancellors of Russian universities, including Mashhad Ferdosi University with Moscow State universities, Cabardino Balkar, south Ural University, new Russia, Astarakhan state university and north Caucasus University. Tehran University has also signed cooperation agreement with Moscow State University (Lomonosov), Oil and Gas University of Russia (Goobkin), Russia Nations University, Lobachefski University, Cabardino Balkar University and Casan Federal University.  

Shiraz University signed agreement with Moscow and Altai state universities, Isfahan University with Moscow and south federal universities, Isfahan industrial university with north Caucasus University, Sharif industrial university with north Caucasus federal universities, saint Petersburg polytechnic and oil and gas university of Russia, Allameh Tabatabaee University with new Russia and Moscow state universities, and science and industry university with saint Petersburg polytechnic.  

These agreements were signed for developing scientific and educational activities, exchanging professor and student, holding joint courses and joint research. 

According to the secretariat of summit between universities of both countries, third summit of Iranian and Russian top universities’ chancellors will be held in Russia in next year. 

Based on this report, first cooperation meeting of universities of both countries was held in Russia in the university work groups’ form by support of science and technology vice-presidency of Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia federation in Moscow.
